SEARCH participants Nicole Mallek, Shelly Batra, and Sandra Krussel received HRSA's Secretary's Award for Innovations in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. The team received the top prize in the 2004-2005 competition in the catergory of single discipline awards for their development on an oral health screening project. The project was developed during a SEARCH rotation at ACCESS Rogers Park in the fall of 2004. The students are now graduates of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University in Downers Grove , IL.
