Western Illinois AHEC

The Western Illinois AHEC is located in Quincy, IL, along the banks of the Mississippi River.

Connecting Professionals to Education:  The Western Illinois AHEC provides continuing education opportunities for health care providers in rural Illinois.  Programs are offered on a variety of clinical and staff development topics via video conference technology. 

Connecting Students to Health Careers:  Shortages of health care professionals continue to be a concern, especially in rural areas of Illinois.  Western Illinois AHEC encourages students to learn about and pursue health care careers in underserved areas.

Connecting Communities to Better Health: Healthy communites equal healthy citizens.  Western Illinois AHEC works with hospitals and health departments to encourage healthy behaviors.

Community members participate in the Arthritis Self-Help Course.
