Chicago Metro AHEC

The Chicago Metro Area Health Education Center is dedicated to the care of medically underserved communities in the city of Chicago.  We have fourteen priority service areas across the city:

Connecting Professionals to Education:  The Chicago Metro AHEC trains culturally competent and community responsive health care professionals.  We work with academic programs to provide clinical experiences in medically underserved communities and cultural immersion programming.  

Connecting Students to Health Careers:  The Chicago Metro AHEC addresses the need for a diverse healthcare workforce by providing resources to assist students from underrepresented backgrounds in pursuing a health career.

Connecting Communities to Better Health:  The Chicago Metro AHEC connects Chicago's medically underserved communities to valuable resources for better health through innovative school-based programming.
